About Poythress Construction Company

Kevin N. Poythress brings over 25 years of construction experience and a solid background in civil and structural engineering to every building project. He realizes that buying a new home is one’s most important investment – one that keeps his customer’s perspective in the forefront of every design and construction task.

Kevin is a Triangle North Carolina native and a graduate of North Carolina State University with an undergraduate degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in structural engineering. Kevin has combined experience in both the residential and commercial markets. He has been building residential custom and spec homes for more than 15 years, completing about 35 homes annually. His neighborhoods include many of the leading Triangle developments: Amberly at Village Square, Cameron Pond, The Oaks at Fallon Park, Sunset Oaks, Weycroft, Meadowmont, Twelve Oaks, Renaissance Park, and Treyburn Forest. Kevin is also involved in the development and construction of Church Street Townes, a new townhome community located in the heart of Morrisville, N.C.

Poythress Construction Company, Inc. began in 1993 and includes custom plan design services for customers. By working closely with individual customers, Kevin and his staff are able to use their engineering expertise, combined with the customer’s ideas and preferences, to create unique and personalized quality homes. “My goal”, Kevin says, “is to listen to the customer and ensure that the building experience we have is both pleasurable and satisfying.” To that end, Kevin wants every building project to be a positive relationship that continues long after the closing – one that is exemplified by excellent service after the sale.

An award winning builder, Poythress Construction Company, Inc. is an active member of the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County, where Kevin serves on the Board of Directors. In 2008, Poythress Construction Company, Inc. lead a team of 5 other builders in constructing a Habitat for Humanity home.  Over the years, Kevin’s homes have garnered numerous gold and silver awards. In 2008, Kevin won 5 awards on all 5 entries!
